Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Front Desk Dental - Sunset Terrace, Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate oversees and manages the clinical and financial operations of the dental site. Offers strong organizational skills, is an innovative and creative problem solver and able to work successfully and independently. Is expected to work in close collaboration with the Dental Director and site leadership to accomplish quality of care and patient access goals.

Site responsibility for financial and operational goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for ensuring all visits are appropriately entered into system and are sent ready for billing to be sent out
  • Ensures that the Dental Electronic Record system functions properly
  • Oversees scheduling to ensure adequate staffing
  • Resolves patient complaints and monitors patient and staff satisfaction
  • Responsible for carry out marketing outreach and health education activities to promote patient compliance and access to care
  • Collaborates with FHC Leadership and RED+F to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees and enforcement of emergency action plans when necessary
  • Offers recommendations to FHC Leadership and MCIT that enhances the clinical operations and business activities with the dental site
  • Ensures clinical and administrative information systems operate effectively and efficiently in collaboration with MCIT
  • Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve and maintain desired performance targets in the areas of patient care, clinical and financial operations, revenue cycle, patient experience and quality performanc
  • Assists the Clinical Director in the development of the vision and strategic plans as well as executes the recommendations and initiatives set by leadership
  • Plans, directs and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the site
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of supervisory experience in customer service, front‑end operations, and/or billing required. Dental experience preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present ideas in user‑friendly language
  • Highly self‑motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking
  • Strong knowledge of DENTRIX
  • EPIC experience a plus
  • 3+ years of FQHC experience
