Dental Assistant

Overview

School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo is seeking a full‑time Dental Assistant
. As a teaching facility we provide dental students with direct patient care and serve as a safety net for the Buffalo‑Niagara region, delivering care to thousands of people each year.

• Serve as chair‑side assistant to licensed dental practitioners and dental students (pre‑doctoral, post‑graduate, and residents) in the examination and treatment of patients in all phases of dentistry.
• Obtain and replenish supplies, file records, and set up operatories for all necessary procedures.
• Assist in regulatory compliance, keep abreast of new developments, techniques, and materials, and ensure adherence to proper infection control protocol.

• High school diploma and either 1 year of experience in dental assisting OR graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.

• CPR Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
• 3 years of Dental Assistant experience.

$40,391 per year. Geographic pay differential of $4,000 will be added to salary.
