Controlled Combustion is a diverse and stable 40‑year‑old full‑service commercial heating company comprising over 150 employees and is looking to add a Credit & Collections Specialist to its team. The company is seeking candidates who want a workplace in which to grow and prosper. In this role you will be interacting with our customers daily by phone and email, providing superior service related to current account status, payments, and other concerns.
You will also collect on client accounts using your commercial collection skills to ensure the process runs smoothly for the client and for us. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, target‑driven, a team player, experienced in all collections aspects, professional, and maintains a customer‑service approach.
- Contact customer by phone/email to finalize collection of outstanding debts.
- Utilize judgment to analyze the customer’s ability to pay and establish a repayment plan.
- Monitor outstanding balance against set credit limit and escape when the limit is exceeded.
- Maintain accurate records and notes.
- Respond to daily account queries and inbound calls and settle customer disputes.
- Reprint invoices and statements if required by the customer for the processing of payments.
- Identify areas of opportunity for optimizing results and improving customer satisfaction.

- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ business-to-business collections experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and superior time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability to provide solutions with limited direction.
- Patience and ability to manage stress.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
