Job Summary

The Service Writer will play a crucial role in exceeding exceptional customer service for our service department. This position requires you to act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking repair services. Your expertise in equipment maintenance and repair will help guide customers through their service needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and attention. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for the agricultural, light industrial, and consumer equipment industry.

Other duties include:

  • Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between customers and service technicians in the dealership.
  • Utilize your knowledge of equipment to recommend appropriate services.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the service process.
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions, service recommendations, and follow-ups.
  • Manage customer expectations regarding service timelines and costs.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Experience

- Strong customer service skills to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role is preferred.

- Strong background in equipment repair & maintenance, or as a mechanic/service technician.

- Familiarity with service management practices is advantageous.
