JOB SUMMARY
The Client Services Associate provides banking services to clients and serve as a critical member of the Client Services Team. Provide exceptional service to customers; responsible for complete and accurate documentation and related financial transactions. Interact with colleagues throughout the bank on matters related to account activity, and other customer relations matters. Support portfolio managers and relationship managers with general customer related issues.
Ensure the successful resolution of matters presented to customer service. Duties also include handling and resolving problems related to the office environment as well as coordinating physical moves, repairs and the distribution of supplies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather information on potential customers.
- Send customer information to NY Compliance Dept. for review.
- Mitigate compliance-related issues.
- Obtain customer signature on all account documentation (including online banking and shelf products).
- Conduct periodic account reviews (PARs) as directed by Compliance.
- Respond to customer’s account-related questions including product-related questions.
- Provide Internet Banking Support by responding to user questions.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding facilities and loans.
- Follow up on ongoing facility needs.
- Respond to wire transfer inquiries from customers and Compliance (via ECS) involving Money Transfer personnel as required.
- Respond to customer inquiries on DDA/MMA & Time Deposit servicing accounts including rate quotations.
- Provide DDA balance information to customers.
- Receive customer instruction for FX transactions.
- Liaise with Trading Room and customer on pricing for FX transactions (pricing is set by Trading Room)
- Other duties as required by position
Qualifications Needed
- Knowledge of Banking Systems.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of bank KYC processes and diligence, corporate structures/company organization charts and account opening documents.
- Strong PC skills – MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and people skills, including ability to market products.
- Must have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Detail oriented, highly organized and accurate.
- Ability to work and keep information confidential.
- Project confidence and professionalism to customers.
Experience Required/Preferred:
Related educational/business experience. Middle Market Lending experience recommended
Education Required/Preferred:
Bachelors’ degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
