Job Title: Production Assistant

Classification:Non-exempt, part-time, temporary

Pay Rate: $23/hour, 25 hours per week

Reports to:Deputy Director of Public Programs

Brooklyn Bridge Park isseeking part-time Production Assistants to support our programming efforts duringthe
2026season,approximately April-October.

Production Assistants are a key part of our events team, working directly with the public and the wider Brooklyn community on free arts and culture programs big and small, including our seasonal festival celebrations, large-scale dance parties,livemusic,signature Movieswitha View screenings, and more.

Ideal applicants have an interest inproduction, music,public programming,and working outdoors. You will beworking directly with thepublicandwill be expected toworkindependentlyandin highly collaborative settings.

This role involvesmonitoringlive music and dance party events, ensuring seamless operations fromloadin to load out.

An interest and background inmusic/event/film productionarewelcome. The successful applicant will understand our mission quickly and will be comfortable working outside in all types of weatherfor the majority of their6–8 hourshift.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working outdoors tofacilitatevarious public programs, including setup, breakdown, check-insand on-site presence for various events. Events include concerts, film screenings, dance parties,theatrical productions, and more.

  • Setting up and dismantling sets/stages, transporting equipment, runningerrandsand ensuring that all necessary materials are available on site.

  • Working directly with sound equipment, lighting equipment, staging props,etc.

  • Working andcommunicatingwith program partners to ensure they are supported.

  • Front of house duties, including answering visitor questions, administering surveys, way finding, etc.

  • Tracking andupdatingvisitor information, including liability andreleasewaivers, demographicbreakdownandtotal participant numbers.

  • Maintaining public programming equipment,tracking inventory,andorganizingall supplies in a professional manner.

  • Providing general administrative supporttostaff, including taking pictures and putting up signage throughout thePark.

  • Ensuring that deadlines are met and that safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Production Experience Preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Responsible and detail-oriented

  • Ability to work quickly, independently,accurately and consistently

  • Interest in executing hands-on, public-facing events

  • Ability to perform outdoor physical labor (lift 40lbs) in all weather conditions and on various surfaces (asphalt, grass, turf, natural shore line)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook/Teams

  • Ability to use the Internet for research and communication

  • Abletorepresentthe park as a world-class outdoor destination to programming partners, talent, audience, and park visitors

  • Driver’s License preferred
