We help CPG clients engage consumers through graphic design and execution, from conceptual brand strategy and design to adaptive design and production of color‑accurate, regulatory/retailer compliant touchpoints. The Olberding Brand Family comprises three branded units (Coach House, Amplify and Phototype) with over 400 colleagues across the US, Europe, and Asia.

The Artwork Project Manager (APM) represents the Olberding Brand Family at the client site and owns the Artwork process from start to finish, including timeline management and technical review of mechanicals and proofs. The APM monitors and communicates project milestones to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery, collaborates with Marketing brand teams to resolve issues, and supports the Client Engagement Manager and production team to deliver an excellent client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Align with Development team on project timelines and communicate key artwork deliverables
  • Chair weekly artwork status meetings and send meeting minutes
  • Communicate timing and requirements of dossiers to Marketing and confirm Marketing alignment in weekly artwork status meetings
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Creative, and C&A teams from project kick‑off through artwork development to final delivery to keep teams aligned and projects on track
  • Advise Marketing and Creative teams on artwork requirements based on product distribution zones and regional needs
Artwork Management in TAG
  • Analyze brief technical details before artwork production to ensure all details meet required standards
  • Approve and verify artworks for all technical elements based on brand guidelines and packaging form provided by Packaging Engineering/Color & Artwork, ensuring compliance
  • Approve and validate the technical elements of proofs/bags to be released to print vendors based on printing technology, color rotation, number of colors, and finishing
  • Set up and manage the routing approval of artwork on TAG and obtain approvals from proper channels before release (DMI, R&I, Claims, Brand Voice, PD, Regulatory, Legal, Countries)
  • Ensure the artwork is routed for approval to the specific support team members and zone approver contacts assigned to the project
  • Support the brand’s international zones and markets with artwork requests and TAG support
  • Provide 1st level TAG support to Marketing and Creative as a TAG power user
Artwork | Print Process Management
  • Request digital color proofs from Creative and send to prepress agency/vendor
  • Advise Creative and Development on issues with preliminary artwork and provide guidance on alternatives and solutions
  • Advise the client on feasibility of a pack being developed based on prior experience
  • Initiate preliminary artwork process as needed, review and release complete/correct file collections to prepress agency or print vendor
  • Request and facilitate pre‑production calls during routing with the Printer Production Manager
  • Communicate all pertinent information to the prepress agency during art release
Communication and Relationships
  • Follow a regular cadence of communication with L’Oréal’s Marketing, Creative, and Product Development teams to ensure alignment across initiatives
  • Act as a liaison between prepress agency, print vendor, and L’Oréal, and drive resolution of roadblocks to maintain timing requirements
Qualifications
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of consumer products packaging, creative design, and production artwork
  • Strong communication skills plus the ability to establish, grow and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to learn multiple software programs (Esko, TAG)
  • College degree (e.g., Bachelor) or equivalent experience in Business, Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in project management, customer service, or packaging graphics management
  • Cosmetics or consumer product company knowledge or experience is a plus
