The Corporate Events Production Manager is responsible for leading and delivering all technical and production elements for assigned in-person, virtual, and hybrid events in direct support of one of IMC’s global financial clients. This role serves as the on-site day-to-day production lead for programs within our client’s event facility from initial intake through post-event reconciliation, ensuring each program is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with the client’s strategic objectives and technical standards.
This is a full-time in-person IMC role embedded within and working alongside the client’s Event Production team in the Multimedia Technical Services department based in Midtown Manhattan (New York, NY). In this capacity, the Corporate Events Production Manager partners closely with internal client stakeholders, leads cross-functional production teams, and manages vendors to deliver high-quality event experiences while ensuring alignment with the client’s processes, standards, and expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Event Leadership, Planning & Budget Management- Lead the full corporate event lifecycle from intake and scope definition through execution, reconciliation, and post-event debrief.
- Partner with client business units, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, success metrics, and overall production strategy.
- Build and manage project timelines, milestones, and workback schedules to ensure programs are delivered on time and within scope.
- Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to support seamless execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients, guiding stakeholders through decisions related to scope, budget, and timeline while fostering strong collaborative relationships across teams and vendors.
- Develop and manage event budgets from initial estimate through reconciliation, ensuring alignment with approved financial parameters.
- Track expenses, review vendor invoices, and proactively identify cost efficiencies while maintaining the quality of the event experience.
- Develop production documentation including vendor briefs, rehearsal schedules, run-of-show materials, and technical production plans.
- Coordinate with internal departments, multimedia teams (Video Production, Streaming, Engineering, Operations), and external vendors to ensure full technical and logistical alignment.
- Source and manage freelance production staff using firm-approved procurement methods as required.
- Oversee setup, technical checks, cue-to-cue rehearsals, and presenter rehearsals to ensure all production elements meet client expectations.
- Lead vendor partners and production teams throughout event delivery, ensuring work remains on schedule and meets required standards.
- Serve as the key communication point during live production to resolve issues, coordinate backup plans, and manage real-time changes.
- Lead post-event reconciliation, reporting, and team debriefs to capture insights and improve future programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve production workflows, documentation, and operational best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in live event production, project management, or a related field with ownership of complex projects from concept through execution.
- Proven success delivering high-quality live, virtual, and hybrid events in fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational, logistical planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate technical production concepts into clear, client-friendly language.
- Strong understanding of event production technologies and technical workflows.
- Resourceful, adaptable, and able to remain composed in high-pressure production environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accountability for outcomes.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Midtown Manhattan. Occasional travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, conferences, and events, including some evenings and weekends.
