Producer​/Editor, Impact

We are the social-good storytelling arm of Now This. We reach millions of passionate Gen Z viewers and get them to stop, watch, and care through short-form videos about what matters to them now.

Now This is looking for a Producer/Editor, Impact, who knows how to build a story from start to finish. You’ll lead original video projects across platforms, shaping urgent political and cultural moments into clear, compelling storytelling. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can research, script, produce, and guide an edit — and make strong editorial decisions along the way.

• Own video and carousel projects end-to-end — from pitching and research to scripting, producing, and editing
• Turn complex policy and political developments into accessible, compelling narratives
• Script and execute original explainers optimized for Tik Tok and Instagram
• Make strong editorial calls during breaking news moments — balancing urgency with accuracy
• Work closely with editors to ensure pacing, structure, and visuals feel native to the feeds
• Contribute to evolving our formats and experimenting with new approaches
• Fact-check all content and handle sensitive or emotionally intense material with care and responsibility
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with Now This Impact’s mission

• You consistently publish high-quality videos and carousels that feel urgent, clear, and built for the feed
• You can anticipate political moments and move quickly when they hit
• You raise the overall quality and consistency of our output
• Your content regularly sparks engagement and sharing
• You act as a steady editorial voice during fast news cycles

• 4+ years producing short‑form, social‑first videos
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Canva
• Experience contributing to a political or news social account
• Strong instincts for what will resonate with Gen Z and millennial audiences
• Deep interest in progressive news and civic engagement
• Confident scriptwriter who can make complicated topics feel clear without oversimplifying
