We are seeking an Editorial Commerce Fellow whose dream is to write and get paid for it. If you’d be honored to toil thusly, then this is an opportunity to work directly with editors and executive team. The role will be fluid and fast-paced, ranging from production and photo-editing to writing and reporting pieces and contributing to our long-term strategy. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the men’s style space, with a focus on menswear and grooming and an eye towards affiliate opportunities.
Responsibilities:- Assist in production for internal and freelance projects, including: building emails, features and products within Inside Hook CMS, formatting or creating imagery, working cross-departmentally to secure assets and optimize affiliate and editorial opportunities
- Write multiple articles a week, leveraging knowledge of men’s style and commerce space to pitch, write and produce high-quality, affiliate-friendly, style-focused content for Inside Hook
- Assist in content creation across various mediums, including email native and social media content
- Maintain the health of top-priority evergreen style content, including updating copy for relevance and seasonality, keeping all relevant links and products up to date, and adding new, IH-approved content/products as timing demands
- Experience writing and reporting, preferably for digital/print lifestyle publications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Working knowledge of CMS tools (Word Press or similar) and Google Suite
- Clear and assertive communication, teamwork skills and feedback-driven mentality.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm, reliability, and team-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with email newsletters and SEO best practices are a plus.
- 3 month commitment with potential for extension
- Ability to commute to the office 2 days a week
