* This role will design for are high volume, value-oriented retailers. Previous mass market experience is preferred.*
This is a full-time on-site role for an apparel designer located in the New York City Metropolitan area. The Womenswear Designer will be responsible for researching and producing innovative, trend-right designs, initiating tech packs, developing fabrics, prints and trims, and creating production-ready designs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on all product categories (wovens, cut & sew, bottoms, and outerwear).
Qualifications- 6-8 years of experience in Apparel Design
- Ability to stay up to date with the marketplace and translate trends into commercially successful designs for high volume retailers
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field preferred
- Experience in textile/print development is a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Excel
Annual salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 per year
