The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial Social Producer/Analyst to lead the execution of our social and sponsored content strategy across TIME's social media platforms. This person will produce daily engagement-focused content, with an emphasis on developing scalable, advertising-supported franchises and creating engaging content which supports TIME’s growing business. Serving as a bridge between the newsroom and revenue teams, this role is ideal for a collaborative problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of editorial, audience growth, and business impact.

The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical, with strong editorial judgement and a deep understanding of how audiences engage across platforms. They should be equally comfortable publishing daily content, collaborating across departments, and building performance reports that inform strategy and support revenue.

Responsibilities:

Produce daily engagement-focused content across Instagram, Tik Tok, X, Facebook, Linked In, and emerging channels

Collaborate with edit, photo, art, and video teams to develop social rollout strategies for major packages and news events

Develop and scale engagement-driven franchises that are both audience-focused and commercially viable

Partner with revenue teams to ideate and execute advertising-supported social concepts, and provide performance reporting on sold campaigns, including benchmarks and actionable insights

Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to align social strategy with broader company priorities

Build and maintain regular social performance reports for editorial and business stakeholders, analyzing engagement, reach, referral traffic, video metrics, and growth trends to inform strategy

Qualifications:

3-5 years of relevant experience in a professional newsroom or equivalent experience in audience engagement

Strong editorial judgment and editing/writing skills

An interest in developing platforms and identifying new trends in social media

Fluency in social analytics tools and comfort interpreting performance data

Experience collaborating cross-functionally, including with revenue or branded content teams

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced newsroom environment

A deep interest in evolving platforms, emerging trends, and audience growth strategy.

Note:

This position is represented by the News Guild of New Yo ork.

Location

This is a hybrid role. Eligible candidates for the role must be within a commutable distance of TIME’s New York City office [or Washington D.C.] upon hire and may be expected to be physically present as needed.
