The Producer for Complex Bets sits at the intersection of Video Production, Direction, and Creative Development within Complex’s video division. This position leads the execution of Complex Bets, a new to world Complex vertical channel that sits between sports and predictive markets.

The producer will support the ideation, development, and production of the next generation of Complex video formats and franchises across the new platform.

As a member of the Creative Production team, this producer is both a hands‑on executor and a forward‑thinking collaborator – someone who thrives in fast‑paced creative environments and understands how to translate culture into premium digital video experiences.

The role requires fluency in creative ideation, video directing, with a focus on celebrity interaction and digital storytelling. The candidate should have the ability to turn brainstorms into tangible decks, pilots, and tentpole moments that move the brand forward.

This role demands both production rigor and an innovative creative mindset: someone fluent in Complex culture, storytelling, and the mechanics of digital media.

• Execute premium content: Produce and direct new to world and recurring shows that embody Complex’s voice and creative standard, leading the charge from concept through broadcast, coordinating between studio, production, and talent teams.
• Translate ideas into proof: Turn creative concepts into decks, visuals, and pilot‑ready treatments that bring development ideas to life.
• Blend innovation with execution: Use cultural intuition and emerging technologies to elevate both long form youtube and creative development outputs.

The Creative Development Producer is both a doer and a thinker—someone who thrives in the fast‑paced intersection of creativity and execution.

This role amplifies Complex’s ability to produce and direct, socially resonant, and culturally relevant content while fueling the broader development pipeline that powers the brand’s future formats and franchises.

• Support the ideation, documentation, and packaging of new video formats and franchises.
• Lead and participate in brainstorms and creative development sessions, contributing fresh, trend‑informed ideas and providing detailed documentation to track progress and push forward through the greenlight process.
• Research and identify new talent, emerging creators, and content trends relevant to Complex’s audience.
• Create development decks, treatments, and visual materials to communicate and sell new concepts internally and externally.
• Assist in managing the Greenlight submission process and help shepherd approved projects into pilot production.
• Use AI and creative tools (such as Midjourney, Runway, or Gemini) to generate concept art, visualizations, and pre‑production imagery.

• Directing high‑impact visual content from conceptualization through post‑production, ensuring narrative consistency and aesthetic excellence.
• Extensive experience directing and producing top‑tier celebrity talent, maintaining a professional, efficient, and comfortable onset environment.
• Managing multi‑disciplinary production teams (in‑house and freelance) to execute Complex shoots on time and under budget.
• Defining and maintaining the visual DNA of Complex ensuring all output aligns with the brand’s identity while pushing creative boundaries.
