Slate Studios is a New York–based content production studio specializing in high-end photography and motion for luxury fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. We produce elevated campaigns and e-commerce content for leading global clients.

As a Prop Stylist at Slate Studios, you will lead prop concepting, sourcing, styling, and on‑set execution for beauty and fashion shoots. You will work closely with photographers and producers to ensure all visual elements align with brand direction and luxury standards.

This role requires strong aesthetic judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to execute clean, elevated compositions in fast‑paced environments.

• Concept & Development
  • Interpret creative briefs and translate them into refined prop directions
  • Research and develop mood references
  • Propose styling concepts aligned with brand guidelines
• Sourcing & Prep
  • Source, purchase, rent, or fabricate props as needed
  • Manage prep days efficiently and within budget
  • Maintain organized tracking of prop expenses and returns
• On-Set Styling
  • Style product shots with precision and attention to detail
  • Adjust compositions in real time based on creative feedback
  • Maintain continuity and consistency across assets
• Collaboration
  • Work closely with photographer, producer, and digital tech
  • Ensure styling supports lighting, framing, and post-production goals

• Location & Availability
  • Based in New York, NY
  • Available for on-site freelance production days
• Experience
  • Proven experience styling for fashion and/or beauty campaigns
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating luxury aesthetic sensibility
• Skills
  • Excellent eye for color, texture, scale, and composition
  • Strong sourcing network in NYC

  • Comfortable working with small crews and fast timelines
