About the RoleWe are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Experiential Designer to help lead the creation of memorable unboxing experiences, PR mailers, and innovative custom merchandise and product concepts. In this role, you will transform gifting and product concepts into highly engaging brand experiences that delight recipients and enhance overall brand perception. You will collaborate closely with design and production teams to ensure every package tells a compelling brand story - from the moment it leaves the studio to the final unboxing.
You will play a key role in concepting and delivering brand experiences that align with client guidelines, design trends, and production best practices.
- Ideate and develop creative packaging concepts that align with brand identity and marketing strategies, presented through clear and visually compelling presentations.
- Transform the unboxing process into an experiential journey that engages and surprises recipients.
- Develop innovative branded merchandise and custom product ideas that complement campaign messaging and generate buzz among recipients and their social audiences.
- Contribute to the ideation of innovative branded merchandise and physical product concepts that extend the brand story beyond the packaging.
- Create detailed design specifications and prototypes for packaging and custom products, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional excellence.
- Apply strong graphic design skills to merge visual creativity with printing and production feasibility.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product design, production, and supply chain) to ensure cohesive execution in line with creative vision and budgets.
- Manage timelines and supplier relationships to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.
- Stay immersed in industry and cultural trends to continuously improve our approach and keep designs ahead of the curve.
- Use client feedback and campaign performance metrics to inform effective design strategies and storytelling.
- Incorporate sustainable materials and practices into packaging and product design wherever possible.
- Ensure all designs meet industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and key stakeholders.
Clearly articulate the design vision, strategy, and expected impact on recipient experience and client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- End-to-end experience (from design to production) with custom packaging and products.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Experience with 3D visualisation or mock-up tools is a plus.
- A strong portfolio showcasing concept thinking, visual storytelling, and physical or packaging-based design work, including projects taken from concept through execution where possible.
- Understanding of the influencer marketing landscape, with insight into the power of storytelling to create impactful unboxing experiences.
- Understanding of materials, print processes, and production methods for packaging, custom merchandise, or custom products.
- Interest in and knowledge of the luxury sector.
- Experience in packaging and/or product design within a brand, agency, or production environment.
