Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 / year
DescriptionAs an FOS Multimedia Reporter, you will help to shape the future of FOS across the social‑video ecosystem. If you have a knack for getting to the bottom of things, explaining topics in digestible ways, and a true passion and curiosity around the business of sports and culture, this job could be for you.
Key Responsibilities- Host and create daily multimedia video – pitching, concept development, execution, and daily editing.
- Produce short‑form breaking news, explainers, and other experiential video formats for the FOS family of channels.
- Attend creative brainstorms, kick‑offs and team meetings; contribute meaningful ideas and pitches to the newsroom.
- Work closely with social, production operations, and editorial teams to find and produce the right story for the right audience.
- Travel for shoots, deliver self‑contained setups and turn around tentpole programming quickly.
- Stay on top of everything relevant to our channels (sports, business, pop culture, politics, etc.).
- Publish content to FOS channels, including Instagram and Tik Tok.
- Proofread, spell‑check and QC videos before posting.
- Collaborate across FOS to align content with strategy.
- Strategize with leaders in Multimedia, Creative Strategy, Partnerships, and Editorial for future opportunities and long‑term planning.
- Uphold FOS’s social and editorial guidelines.
- 2–4 years of experience as a host, content creator, or multimedia reporter covering sports, business, news, and entertainment.
- Highly motivated, excited to tell stories around the behind‑the‑scenes of sports.
- Self‑starter who takes initiative.
- Flexible worker aligned with sports and news content calendars.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and take direction from multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with an organized, planning, and collaborative mindset.
- Capable of operating in a high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Energy and collaboration: work alongside a high‑performing, like‑minded team that brings passion and purpose to every day.
