Swimwear Designer - Licensed Women's Swim

We’re working with a growing apparel business seeking a Swimwear Designer to play a central role in building and executing licensed swimwear collections across multiple brand partners.

This is a hands-on, creatively driven role with clear ownership of swimwear design from concept through production. You will be responsible for translating licensed brand DNA into commercially viable swim collections, balancing trend relevance, brand standards, and production realities.

If you understand how to design swimwear that works at scale, can navigate the demands of licensed partnerships, and are comfortable owning both creative and technical execution, this role offers meaningful visibility and influence within a fast-paced design environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop swimwear collections aligned to licensed brand identities, target customers, and seasonal direction.
• Own swimwear design execution from initial concept through final production handoff.
• Create detailed sketches, Illustrator flats, and production-ready artwork.
• Build comprehensive tech packs including measurements, materials, construction details, and licensing requirements.
• Ensure all designs meet brand compliance, licensing standards, and approval processes.
• Partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Production to ensure designs are executable at scale.
• Interpret market trends and customer insights while remaining true to licensed brand aesthetics.
• Manage multiple collections and timelines simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy.
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams to drive timely approvals and smooth execution.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Swimwear Designer with a portfolio demonstrating licensed brand work.
• Strong understanding of swimwear construction, fabrics, and production processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and technical sketching.
• Demonstrated experience building detailed, accurate tech packs for swimwear.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance creativity and technical precision.
• Comfortable working independently while managing multiple deadlines.
• Confident collaborator able to work across design, production, and licensing stakeholders.
• Trend-aware, commercially minded, and customer-focused.
