Overview

The Associate Director, Design will work with various internal teams in shaping and delivering quality design solutions across digital, product, pitch presentations, and branding, as well as internal and external communications.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated creative with a solution-based mindset, project management experience, and a strong understanding of basic principles of design proven through application:
Balance, Rhythm, Scale, Typography, Proportion, Color, Consistency, et al. This individual plans concepts by studying information and materials to quickly turn them into action. This position will be involved in building out design systems and processes to lift brand standards across various client accounts.

Candidates should have/include a well-designed virtual portfolio that include case studies that speak to the process of how certain projects were completed, including typography, color, photography treatments, as well as applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead team members in the development and execution of everything from large-scale, multi-channel campaigns to small, one-time projects
  • Design and develop high-impact PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, internal communications, and executive presentations that align with brand guidelines
  • Translate strategic messaging and complex information into clear, visually engaging storytelling assets
  • Create visually compelling communication materials (digital and print) for agency-wide initiatives, campaigns, and programs
  • Create and maintain project deliverables and documentation, including requirements documentation, project briefs, creative assets, scheduling and timelines, project status, estimates, etc.
  • Develop templates, toolkits, and frameworks to streamline brand consistency across teams
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Support and lead creative team in brainstorming sessions and concept execution, lead production of ideas and coach junior talent as needed
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment
  • Stay updated on design trends, presentation technologies, and communication best practices to continuously enhance design quality
  • Contribute to the development of visual storytelling standards and design systems that elevate the agency’s brand presence
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of graphic design experience, ideally within a media/advertising agency environment
  • Strong expertise in PowerPoint and presentation design, with a portfolio demonstrating storytelling and layout excellence
