Motion Graphics Designer​/Videographer

Overview

Babbel is hiring a talented Motion Graphics Designer / Videographer who thrives in a self-directed environment to join the hard-working, fast-paced, creatively-driven Video team. The ideal candidate will bring strong design and typographic sensibilities, animation expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of content production workflows— including the ability to shoot and edit videos.

You will play a pivotal role in bringing our creative vision to life through various video and animation projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of video production, from conceptualization to execution and delivery. Hands-on experience in social content creation or self-produced projects is a big plus.

• Design and animate motion graphics projects from concept to delivery
• Create and utilize templates, MOGRTs, and automation solutions to streamline workflows
• Manage projects independently with minimal oversight
• Develop end-to-end content that maintains brand consistency and quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to deliver engaging visual content
• Occasionally shoot and edit social and paid social content pieces

• Motion Graphics & Animation
  • Strong foundation in typography and typographic animation
  • Familiarity with automation tools and solutions (MOGRTs, templates, etc.)
  • Ability to work efficiently and think modularly
  • A passion for storytelling with design and motion
• Design Fundamentals
  • Solid understanding of graphic design principles
  • Excellent sense of typography, color theory, and design proportion
  • Ability to apply design principles across various formats and applications
• Content Creation
  • Comfortable shooting and editing short-form videos
  • Comfortable with the basics of content production (color correction, audio, editing, music)
• Project Management
  • Comfortable self-managing projects and timelines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of content production workflows
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
• Software
• Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant solutions (let us know what you can do!)

In New York City, the reasonable annualized full-time salary for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
