Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Technical Designer for a NYC-based contemporary women's fashion brand known for its feminine designs, bold colors, and a modern aesthetic. In this role, you will support the design team by providing comprehensive tech packs for overseas development, managing measurements, construction details, and quality finishings from initial development through production.

This is an in-office, full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Create tech packs and have worked with or be open to working in AI.
  • Interpret designer sketches into accurate documents for overseas development.
  • Measure all samples and update Tech Packs to reflect current specifications.
  • Oversee fit schedules for both development and production.
  • Prepare for fittings by organizing relevant samples, patterns, and specs.
  • Take detailed fit notes and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
  • Update Tech Packs with fit comments and perform sample quality checks.
  • Multitask and prioritize workflow to meet daily goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of apparel technical design with extensive knowledge of garment construction and finishing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern correction, and fabrics.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in AI, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Experience with Gerber or pattern making is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and collaborative across cross-functional teams.
