Our client is seeking a Design Assistant to support their design team with trend forecasting, mood boards, and research.

Trend Analysis & Forecasting:

• Monitor global trends across runways, trade shows, social media, and influencers.
• Research consumer behavior, cultural shifts, and market trends.
• Create trend reports and mood boards.
• Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create engaging presentations and mood boards.

Trend Shopping:

• Conduct local trend-shopping trips to gather insights from retail markets, cultural hubs, and emerging street styles.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for product development.
• Help with expenses and organization of shopping.
• Attend fabric and print shows to source materials and gather inspiration.

Market & Competitor Research:

• Analyze competitor strategies and product launches.
• Collaborate with teams to position products relative to industry trends.
• Recommend colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and design elements for collections with a focus on children swear.
• Work with design and marketing teams to align collections with trends.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1-3 years in trend forecasting or analysis, children swear expertise is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (a must).
• Strong visual storytelling and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of WGSN or similar trend tools preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
