Role OverviewWe are seeking a Creative Director, Copy who operates as both an upstream conceptual thinker and a downstream executional craft leader. This person brings the energy, intuition, and taste of a “creative spark plug”—someone who can riff in real time, ignite new ideas, elevate brand voice, and enhance the creative culture around them.
In this role, you will define and drive the verbal identity for campaigns, launches, content systems, packaging, product storytelling, and full‑funnel activations. You will collaborate closely with Creative Directors (Art), writers, strategists, designers, motion artists, and cross‑functional partners to bring breakthrough creative to life across multiple global brands.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for a writer who loves concepting, shaping, and pushing brand language to its highest expression.
Key Responsibilities Top‑of‑Funnel Narrative Strategy + Concept Development- Develop upstream conceptual platforms, story territories, and narrative frameworks rooted in insight, product truth, and bold creative thinking.
- Turn product benefits and innovation into emotionally resonant stories that inspire, excite, and differentiate Shark Ninja.
- Lead the creation of high‑level concepts, scripts, voice frameworks, messaging hierarchies, and campaign thinking that guide teams downstream.
- Bring contagious energy to every room—sparking creative momentum and elevating ideas on the spot.
- Lead and inspire writers, art directors, designers, and external partners to produce breakthrough, high‑impact work.
- Present creative with clarity, confidence, and passion—even to large executive audiences—clearly articulating the story, strategy, and rationale.
- Use feedback as fuel to push ideas further rather than pull them back.
- Model a hands‑on, sleeves‑up approach to writing, editing, and craft.
- Ensure world‑class copy development across upper‑funnel campaigns, digital and social content, retail, packaging, scripts, and product storytelling.
- Partner closely with art and motion teams to shape narrative pacing, tone, rhythm, and the verbal‑visual relationship.
- Uphold writing standards for clarity, consistency, global relevance, and brand distinctiveness—while empowering regional teams to localize with intention.
- Champion high craft across headlines, scripts, long‑form storytelling, product messaging, naming, and voice.
- Translate complex technology and engineering into compelling, premium, consumer‑first narratives.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, CI, and Marketing to ensure copy communicates innovation, performance, and emotional resonance.
