About the role:We are seeking a Product Development Associate (depending on the years of experience) to join our cold weather accessories team. The overall aim of this role is to assist with the essential duties of product development from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, is detail oriented. The role would report directly to the Product Development Manager and work with them to research and create multiple collections for our global customer base.
About you:The ideal candidate will be creative and enthusiastic, with a keen eye for emerging trends as well as a commercial eye. Proficiency in PowerPoint, excel, email etc. is a must as role will require excellent communication and organization skills. Someone who enjoys being part of a small team but is also used to a fast-faced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Create design briefs for new product for our design team to CAD
- Review and make comments on samples received – approve/request updates as needed
- Make suggestions on new styles, updates, evolutions of best sellers
- Trend research – instore and online to keep up to date with existing collections and gather ideas for future designs
- Work on multiple projects at the same times & manage deadlines
- Prioritize completing projects to meet deadlines
- Clearly and concisely communicate with overseas teams to compile item-specific information
- Proactively anticipate when deadlines cannot be met and brainstorm on solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Liaise with internal teams (product development, sales, etc.) to ensure all actions of a project are made in time to meet the production schedule deadlines
- Follow up with vendors for sample tracking and PP/TOP sample approvals
- Coordinate with internal teams on sample approvals and status
- Degree level education preferable but not essential
- 2+ years’ experience in the creative industry
- Computer literate (CAD/PLM skills not essential but would be a bonus)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with high SKU count
- The ability to learn new systems quickly
- Familiarity working with overseas teams

Salary ranges based on experience: $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
