The Freelance Makeup Artist will be part of a team responsible for readying Fox News Anchors, reporters, and contributors to appear on television. The role requires proficiency in makeup artistry for both men and women and the ability to work extremely quickly in a fast‑paced cable television news environment.

• Apply makeup in a manner appropriate for television for both men and women, often completing the work very quickly.
• Provide excellent customer service to Fox News talent and staff, projecting a friendly, helpful demeanor.
• Demonstrate good judgment in identifying problems and proposing solutions in advance.
• Be a team player, jump in to help others readying talent for air, and share stewardship of the makeup room.
• Keep the makeup room clean, tidy, and free of clutter; identify products that need replenishment to keep supplies well‑stocked.
• Adapt to schedule changes and work earlier or later as needed to accommodate breaking news.

• Demonstrated ability in television makeup and hair for both men and women.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in television news hair and makeup.
• Meticulous and careful with a high personal standard of excellence.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to maintain professional behavior as a representative of Fox News Media involved in talent appearance on air.
• Promptness and dependability.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate for this role is $35.00–$40.00 per hour, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
