We are seeking a full-time, on-site Color Assistant to join our Production team in our New York City design office. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about textiles, color development, and the apparel creation process.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and foundational knowledge of fabric and color behavior. • Review and comment on lab dips and bulk submits, ensuring alignment with standards and sending clear instructions for revisions when needed.
  • Partner with the Color Manager to troubleshoot and resolve repeat rejections.
  • Review trim cards and distribute approved cards to factories and QC for bulk production.
  • Maintain and update color status charts, including comments and approval dates.
  • Follow up on outstanding or late submissions and provide updates during weekly color status meetings.
  • Order color standards as needed and maintain the Color Standard Library by brand.
  • Create, organize, and maintain seasonal submits for each division’s library.
  • Ensure all color names and numbers remain consistent across all records and charts.
  • Prepare and send packages to factories and suppliers containing standards, lab dips, or trim cards.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the end‑to‑end color approval process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion, or a related field preferred.
  • Foundational technical knowledge of color and fabric properties.
  • Experience communicating with overseas factories is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required.
  • Strong follow‑up abilities and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an apparel company preferred (intimate apparel experience a plus) — internships welcome for entry‑level applicants.
