Overview
The Disney Corporate Creative Resources (DCCR) team is a creative event production and services organization that supports corporate and enterprise initiatives and events including TWDC special events, technical event production, video and sound production services, graphic and visual design, editorial, etc. for virtual, hybrid and in-person and live events. This team works in close partnership with dynamic talent and experts at Studio Special Events and Production teams on various projects.
The Corporate Events department in the DCCR organization has a well-orchestrated team of event production experts and established processes to create and execute successful event programs of all scales. DCCR oversees multiple annual and one-time events in New York, such as employee Service Awards celebrations, special screenings, holiday affairs, internal initiatives (like “table top” fairs, pop-up events, milestone celebrations), D23 events, Board of Directors meetings, executive level town-halls and all-hands meetings, TWDC annual management meeting and executive conferences, and other significant events and occasions for all segments of TWDC.

Technical Producer, Events is responsible for planning and executing all technical aspects of events; from initial conversation with clients and stakeholders, to prep to load in, rehearsals, execution, strike, and put away and serve as right hand to senior manager, technical producer. This may include small single tech lead projects where this position is very hands on responsible for everything, to significantly larger events where this position leads many techs and leads vendor stage crews and supports senior technical production leadership.
This position needs to be a technical production generalist with heavy experience in live event video production and switching and corporate event production and presentations. Responsibilities will be inclusive of video and audio, lighting, staging and rigging to stage management and show calling as well as presentation content curation. Inventory management and direction for departmental warehouses. This role is highly self-motivated and does not wait for direction to ask ‘what’s next’.
Responsibilities- Lead event production and technology for smaller east coast-based events where the DCCR team is contracted and is the primary point of contact on location for those events and when Senior Technical lead is working on other events or stakeholders.
- Plan, design, draft, manage, execute event production as well as operate audiovisual elements (audio, video, playback, presentation graphics, lighting, staging) for corporate special events, conferences, virtual events, for clients across the enterprise. Manage and operate audio, video, lighting, and control systems in the Theatre and Great Room daily, including special events and live productions.
- Advise event managers and clients on the best practices, event technology capabilities, specifications, costs, create and maintain budgets, and usage of technical equipment required for events at various locations. Liaison with presenters to gather and troubleshoot presentations, determine playback support, generate AV content for presentations, and fix / provide solutions live on-site in real-time. Provide input for economical, safety, and general efficiencies for events.
- Determine and hire local labor support as needed to execute events and direct local technical crews on site during load-in, event, and load-out as needed.
- Prepare and be accountable for audiovisual and production budgets that support live events and other projects.
- 5+ years of technical event production, at least 2 years in the corporate production environment

- Technical direction and production management background with leading production crews
- Experience sourcing, hiring, managing staff and production crews
- Highly self-motivated with exceptional organization skills
