alts | Alteration Specialists is looking for Tailors

We are looking for a dynamic professional Tailors, distinguished by their charisma, technical prowess, and professional integrity. This role will include sewing on the machine, and supporting the fitter/tailors and tailor shop manager. This is a full time role in New York City, Brooklyn, Hoboken, NJ and Greenwich, CT with an hourly rate, full benefits, and opportunities for future growth.

• Demonstrate that you are meeting personal production targets
• Cultivate proficiency with men's, women's, and bridal alterations as well as alterations of difficult fabrics

• Constantly be evaluating processes that are not efficient and come up with solutions to better optimize our organization
• Inform front desk of all re-alterations
• Keep track of and scan your production during the day and communicate with front desk to confirm accuracy

• You have great professional integrity. You take ownership over your work, ask for help when you need it, and are committed to your own growth and development.

• 5+ years of alteration tailoring experience required
• Proficiency in English recommended

As a Tailor for an Alts team, you would play an integral role in working in the heart of the business with your expertise in sewing and alterations. Range is from $18/hour - $30/hour

• Standard/Basic Tailors are between $18-$22/hour
• Intermediate from $23-$26/hour
• Advanced $26-30/hour
