We’re looking for a Junior Production Designer to join our in‑house design team at Capture Accessories! You will be an essential part of our team working on the packaging and retouching end of our licensing programs. We are looking for someone to help design and execute various assets and content within our packaging/print department.

We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment - who also loves all things beauty! You must have an exceptional eye for detail and be comfortable communicating the rationale behind your design choices.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 Per Year

• Design within and maintain visual/branding design guidelines
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (sales, product development, production/sourcing) to produce primary and secondary packaging
• Prepare packaging production files to share with external factories
• Assist in the review of electronic proofs and provide detailed feedback
• Work with our production/sourcing team on communicating with external vendors
• Adjust art to fit different sized dielines
• Review pre‑production samples against our art files and provide detailed feedback
• Retouch and color‑correct images for print
• Ability to pay fine attention to detail while working on all projects
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Be able to problem‑solve and develop creative design solutions when necessary
• Take ownership and manage multiple projects
• Completing multiple tasks on tight deadlines
• Design and develop packaging from concept to production
• Gather and interpret market trends for mood boards
• Up‑to‑date on current packaging trends and beauty trends

• 1‑3 Years of experience in previous relevant roles
• Must be able to commute to our NYC office location 4x per week with Fridays WFH
• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Graphic Design, Package Design, or equivalent experience
• Expert level Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (especially Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Retouching experience with product photography
• Excellent understanding of layout design, working within templated files and implementing them into different dielines
• In‑depth knowledge of current packaging design techniques and practices
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
• Passion for design and beauty

• Previous beauty industry experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience working on 3D renderings
