Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Designer & Assistant Designer located in New York, NY. The role involves assisting with the design and development of children’s apparel collections, supporting the design team with trend research, creating sketches and technical drawings, and aiding in the selection of fabrics and trims. The designer will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, production, and business standards.

Additionally, the role includes maintaining organizational support for design presentations and participating in sample fittings and quality checks.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design and creative software tools
  • Strong understanding of fashion design principles, including drawing, sketching, and technical design
  • Knowledge and interest in fabric, trims, garment construction, and production processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast‑paced work environment
  • A degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Previous experience in apparel design, particularly in children’s clothing, is a plus
