The RoleWe’re hiring a Construction Project Manager who specializes in estimating and bidding millwork and finish carpentry projects.
Most of your time will be spent reviewing opportunities posted in contractor bidding portals, evaluating project plans, estimating millwork and labor costs, and submitting competitive bids on projects that are a strong fit for Five Star.
This is an ideal role for someone who understands the millwork and finish carpentry world, enjoys analyzing project plans, and knows how to price jobs accurately in the Tri‑State construction market.
What You’ll Do- Monitor contractor bidding portals and identify millwork and finish carpentry opportunities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid packages
- Estimate labor, materials, and millwork for residential and commercial projects
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
- Track bids and follow up with general contractors
- Coordinate with leadership and field teams to confirm scope and pricing
- Visit job sites or attend pre‑bid meetings when necessary
- Help Five Star focus on the projects that best fit our capabilities and profitability
- Experience estimating millwork, finish carpentry, or cabinetry projects
- Knowledge of the Tri‑State construction market
- Ability to read architectural drawings and construction documents
- Strong understanding of labor production rates and material pricing
- Organized and detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
- Comfortable using estimating software and Excel
- Experience bidding projects ranging from $10K – $5M
