Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector

We are looking for a qualified inspector to join our in-house reinforced concrete inspection team and contribute to some of the most prolific construction projects in NYC today. Duties will include daily special inspections at high-rise concrete structures primarily in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Inspectors will check reinforcing size and placement, concrete placement, and work with the engineer and contractor to resolve field conditions.

Overtime may be available depending on requests by the construction team. Occasional in-office work may include review of shop drawings. All inspections are for projects designed in-house.

Start Date:

Immediately.

• Have current ACI Certification as a Concrete Construction Special Inspector (ACI-CCSI) or have current ICC Certification as a Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector (ICC-CSI), or be an NYS PE.
• Be proficient in reading structural concrete construction documents.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to safely navigate construction sites including climbing ladders, traverse rebar mats, etc.
• Be able to communications with the engineer and construction teams.
• Be punctual and reliable. PE's without experience will be trained. Qualified engineers may have the opportunity to transition to design work.
