Construction Project Management Intern

We are seeking a candidate to join our team at Atlas Supreme. Our company is a full service general contractor, construction manager and owner's representative handling projects of different scale and type. From fast-paced commercial jobs, major hotels, ground-up condos to affordable housing deep retrofits/sustainability projects, we do it all. We are a small start-up with a robust selection of growing projects, offering the selected candidate excellent opportunities to learn and grow professionally within the field.

The candidate will be exposed to various aspects of construction projects, and will assist in overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

• Estimating, including takeoffs, cost verifications and helping prepare and obtain all necessary requirements when answering both public and private RFPs.
• Scheduling, including the initial creation and regular tracking of schedules for design development, internal procedures, construction operations, and post-construction closeouts
• Project Administration, including creating meeting agendas, distributing minutes, conducting email and phone follow-ups.
• Construction Administration, including creating and tracking submittals, tracking vendor/equipment orders deliveries.
• Budgeting, including helping research costs from vendors, subcontractors and consultants per the project requirements.

• Recent graduate, or graduating within 12 months with a degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
• Be able to commute to an office in midtown, and commute within the 5 boroughs as required for job site meetings
• Strong leadership qualities and communication skills a plus
• Able to use Excel, and demonstrate an ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints
• Construction management software experience a strong plus
• CAD experience a plus

Salary range: $20 - 22/hr
