Sitework Foreman

Schreiber Excavating is hiring a full-time Sitework Foreman!

Pay: $35.00 - $39.00/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: Exact hours vary depending on the day/project, but you can typically expect to work 50 - 55 hours per week between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:00 pm

Location: Ontario, New York

CORE SITEWORK FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

• Leading efficient excavation, grading, concrete, and underground utility activities
• Setting daily production goals and motivating your team to meet their targets
• Coordinating project materials, trucking, equipment, and staff schedules to ensure we meet timelines and production expectations
• Seamlessly collaborating with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensuring all employees follow OSHA regulations and safety protocols

Hands-on tasks

• Safely operating heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, haul trucks, etc.)
• Setting up and operating GPS systems, lasers, and pipe lasers
• Reading and following blueprints, civil drawings, and project scope
• Submitting timecards, tickets, change orders, production quantities, and other project documentation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 5+ years of sitework experience, either as a laborer or equipment operator
• Experience with GPS grade control and layout
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Ability to accurately read and follow blueprints
• Ability to stay focused, organized, and motivated throughout the day
• Strong foundation of civil construction knowledge
• Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills
• Drive to meet goals, perform quality work, and achieve great results

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience
• Leadership or foreman experience
