Project Estimator

A client of ours in the Construction Industry is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience working with Transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Capability and willingness to perform inspections of job site conditions and project progress, which may include climbing stairs and/or ladders to access areas throughout the project, accessing roofs, inspecting mechanical equipment rooms and electrical rooms, etc., to assist in the development of estimates.
• Understanding of construction and construction means and methods
• Review plans, architectural drawings, specifications and development estimates and refine costs as updated drawings are issued
• Review and leveling of bids confirming that the scope intent has been met. Identify and price items that have been omitted or excluded.
• Review and price change orders and have a proven track record in change order negotiations.
• Maintain change order request and change order logs reporting to project staff on the status of reviews and issues and the ability to document change order negotiations in a clear concise manner.
