The NY Aviation Assistant Superintendent will assist in managing on‑site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Queens, NY at JFK or LGA airports. Key responsibilities include supervising trades, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, coordinating project schedules, managing subcontractors, and inspecting work for compliance with project plans and specifications.
Qualifications- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time management abilities to oversee project schedules and workflows effectively.
- Experience and knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards in the aviation or construction industry.
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively with teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on‑site.
- Proficient in construction management software, scheduling tools, and basic office applications.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to airport or infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2‑5 years of experience in construction supervision or management, preferably in aviation or Port Authority of NY/NJ projects.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while ensuring on‑time delivery and maintaining high safety standards.
