Supervisor Landscape & Construction​/Part Time

NYC Tree Pit Services is a fast-growing landscape construction contractor dedicated to street trees in NYC . We provide tree and garden installations, sidewalk/concrete work, ironwork, maintenance and other light construction services. We are seeking a motivated part-time supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure that our projects are delivered to on time and to our customers' satisfaction.

• 7:00am - 4:00pm
• Work locations:
  Outdoor job sites mostly in Manhattan, Brooklyn & Queens
• Flexible Schedule

• Manage all aspects of field work for landscape and construction projects
• Supervise and direct small team of workers to ensure that the job is being done to high quality standards
• Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed to ensure the safety of workers and the general public
• Interface with clients and the public while work is happening to ensure that they are informed and satisfied.
• Load and unload the company truck each day and drive to job sites, supply houses, disposal sites, garage, gas station, etc.
• Responsible for the security of materials and equipment
• Purchase job supplies as needed.
• Assist with hands-on work as and when required to achieve the day’s goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum four years experience in landscaping and/or construction
• Minimum one year supervisory experience
• Excellent communication skills, in person and electronically
• Independent and self motivated
• Creative problem solver, ability to make last minute changes to achieve objectives
• Strong customer service skills. Client-facing work experience a plus.
• Firm but respectful oversight of other staff
• Driver's License with clean driving record for last 5 years. CDL not required
• OSHA 30 certification and/or college degree a plus
• Reliable mobile device with camera, text, phone capabilities.

Ability to Commute to Long Island City, NY 11101 (Required)
