📍 Estimator – NYC (Up to $150K + Full Benefits)
A growing General Contractor working on commercial, hospitality, retail, institutional, and mixed-use projects across NYC is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.
You’ll be part of an estimating department that supports a wide variety of project types from custom retail and restaurant interiors to large scale office and institutional builds.
What You’ll Do- Prepare and develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specs, and RFPs to build accurate and competitive bids
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Coordinate scopes with project managers and design teams
- Maintain and update cost databases, unit costs, and historical data
- Assist with budget development, value engineering, and risk analysis
- Support pre-construction efforts from conceptual through hard bid phases
- Previous estimating experience with a general contractor
- Strong understanding of construction means & methods
- Comfort reading plans, specs, and contracts
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
