Senior Construction Estimator

My client, a leading NYC-based construction management firm, is seeking a Senior Estimator with deep experience in ground‑up multifamily projects. This is an opportunity to join a builder known for its sophisticated approach to urban development and its strong reputation across the New York market.

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in preconstruction efforts, helping to run the pre-construction division, along with the SVP of estimating.

You would be overseeing detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, bid levelling, and subcontractor engagement. This position requires a strong command of NYC construction practices, code requirements, and market pricing—particularly within the multifamily sector.

• Lead estimating efforts for large-scale multifamily projects from concept through GMP
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, value engineering options, and bid packages
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Collaborate closely with preconstruction, project management, and executive teams
• Provide strategic insight on constructability, logistics, and cost impacts

• 7+ years of estimating experience within NYC construction
• Strong background in multifamily residential projects (ground-up preferred)
• Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
