Our client is a well-established heavy civil contractor with over 25 years of experience delivering complex infrastructure projects throughout the New York tri-state area. Their portfolio includes sewer, water main, roadway, and site development projects for major public agencies such as NYC DOT, DEP, DDC, DPR, EDC, and SCA
.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior or General Construction Superintendent (Concrete) to lead a high-profile land and concrete project in Brooklyn. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a field‑driven professional who thrives in fast‑paced, union environments and understands what it takes to deliver quality work safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities- Lead all field operations, including self‑perform and subcontracted concrete work
- Enforce corporate safety and quality programs to maintain a safe, compliant jobsite
- Supervise foremen and labor crews, ensuring productivity, schedule adherence, and efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily and long‑term construction activities
- Manage union labor in compliance with NYC labor rules and agreements
- Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower needs to support project schedules
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure contractual performance across all trades
- 15+ years of supervisory experience in heavy civil concrete construction
- Strong general contracting and self‑perform experience
- Deep knowledge of NYC union labor rules and public agency work
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong computer and reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license
