Job Overview

Alliance Masonry Corp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator to join our team in Chenango Forks, NY. In this dual-role position, you'll play a vital part in both preconstruction and project execution phases-handling everything from bidding and budget development to submittals, scheduling, and closeout. We are a union, self-perform masonry and concrete contractor committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship across NY and PA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating:
    • Prepare Take offs
    • Solicit material prices and sub prices
    • Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for masonry and concrete scopes.
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts based on estimates.
  • Project Management:
    • Set up projects following company protocols and coordinate startup with superintendents.
    • Manage submittals, RFIs, and change proposals.
    • Oversee material procurement, manpower, and subcontractor scheduling.
    • Maintain accurate logs for job costing, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
    • Collaborate closely with field operations to ensure jobsite needs are met.
    • Prepare and track project requisitions and closeout documentation.
    • Handle project-level problem-solving and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in commercial construction Project Management, ideally with a self-perform masonry contractor.
  • Strong understanding of full construction lifecycle-from bidding through closeout.
  • High proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and reading construction drawings.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, PDF editing, and Microsoft Word.
  • Valid driver's license required; company vehicle available for work-related travel.
  • Associate degree or higher in a construction-related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to work both in the office and in the field as needed.
