Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Final compensation will be based on a combination of:

• Relevant work experience
• Required working hours
• Candidate subject matter expertise and/or specialty
• Ability to be approved by agencies/owners as required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent years’ experience
• 30-hour OSHA certificate is preferred.

• Work closely with Field Engineers, other Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foreman and Crews on Project Deliverables.
• Directly supervises Field Engineers.
• Review contract documents for assigned scope of work and provide input on the project construction approach and logistics.
• Oversee work in the field and monitor the progress and execution of the plan.
• Process/manage material deliveries – ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality and are in compliance with contract documents.
• Manage and procure subcontractor and material contracts.
• Assist in developing, updating and maintaining the project schedule.
• Coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
• High level of involvement in the cost control system and analysis of construction costs.
• Participate in monthly forecasting revenue and cost accruals.
• Accumulate all necessary data and prepare monthly pay estimates.
• Process and estimate change orders and requests for information as directed by the Project Manager.

• Heavy Civil Construction background with 5+ year’s field experience.
• MTA experience preferable
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to function as a team builder/player.
• The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
• Must be safety oriented.
