Base pay range: $99,201.00/yr – $/yr
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects across the South Central Region. The role manages all aspects of construction projects and provides value‑added services to client agencies for full and modified service projects.
Essential Functions- Represent DASNY as the primary liaison to client agencies.
- Meet with client agencies and make recommendations regarding project approach.
- Develop and monitor project scope, budget, and schedule; prepare related reports as required.
- Manage and participate in the selection of design and construction consultants.
- Monitor the development of project drawings, documents, and specifications.
- Coordinate bid advertising, review bids, prepare bid summaries, and recommend contract awards.
- Assist in drafting design and construction contracts.
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor all project activities among DASNY staff, consultants, contractors, governmental agencies, and other project entities through project closeout.
- Conduct joint scope and job‑progress meetings and deliver monthly reports as dictated by project scope.
- Ensure consultant and contractor compliance with all DASNY procedures.
- Manage all aspects of consultant and construction contracts, including review and approval of requests for payment, change orders, amendments, and contract closeout.
- Oversee consultant and contractor deliverables through pre‑construction meetings, construction‑manager orientations, project health assessments, monthly meetings, and contract closeout checklists.
- Prepare documents and reports for client agencies and DASNY management using internal systems.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of architects, engineers, contractors, and construction managers; ensure all evaluations are complete at project closeout.
- Supervise field staff, assign work, and prioritize workload.
- Maintain quality in accordance with construction documents through coordination with contractors, material testing, inspection consultants, and quality resources.
- Participate in the documentation, negotiation, and settlement of claims.
- Ensure retention and maintenance of records both on‑site and off‑site.
- Assist in developing, administering, and testing construction‑related software tools and applications.
- Establish procedures and monitor progress for the acquisition of temporary and permanent occupancy certificates.
- Conduct surveys and inspections to determine design and construction defects and rehabilitation requirements.
- Pursue new business opportunities with client agencies on behalf of DASNY.

- Undertake special assignments as directed.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with DASNY attendance and leave policies.
- Adhere to NYS Information Security Policy Standards as established by the Office of Information Technology Services.
Requires frequent travel (public transportation, DASNY vehicle, rental vehicle, or personal vehicle), including overnight stays at public accommodations. Exposure to weather extremes, loud noises, heights, chemicals, fumes, and other construction site hazards. May require time‑pressured decision‑making and occasional modified work schedules or extended workday hours.

Work EnvironmentThe official station may be located at a construction field site. Frequent site visits will be required. Use of PC, telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, scanner, electronic stapler, hole punch, date stamp, shredder, and GPS field location devices is necessary.
