Construction Superintendent – NYC

Laland Baptiste, LLC is a construction management and consulting firm providing services throughout the construction life cycle. Our clients include NYS Office of General Services, NYC Health + Hospitals, NYC Parks & Recreation, NYC School Construction Authority, NYC Economic Development Corporation, Battery Park City Authority, NYS Parks, Recreations and Historic Preservation.

Construction Superintendent will have project experience in higher education, healthcare, or buildings rehabilitation and will work in the Buffalo, NY region.

• Associate’s degree in Construction Management or related field or combination of education and experience;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years as Assistant Superintendent or Inspector on large-scale building projects.
• Must develop and communicate project work plans, monitor manpower and performance, perform detailed design drawing comparisons to ensure coordination among trades.
• Experience on higher education projects (college/university preferred) with schedule and budget management on multi-disciplinary renovation projects.
• Working knowledge of architectural design, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems and construction industry practices.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and understand applicable construction codes.
• Must make rapid decisions under pressure.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office and construction software.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, interact effectively with architects, engineers, specialty consultants, contractors, and the client.
• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• In-depth understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

$60.00-$75.00 per hour.
