Base pay range

Responsibilities- Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects ranging from [insert project size/type]
- Utilize estimating software and databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Create and maintain historical cost data and pricing databases
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather project information
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues
- Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation within specified time frames
- Contribute to refining our estimating processes and procedures
- Implement best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market conditions
- Participate in post-project reviews to validate estimates and improve future accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, OR
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction estimating experience
- Proven track record of preparing accurate estimates for similar project types
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and database management
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on continuous improvement
- Professional certifications (e.g., AACE, ASPE)
- Experience with [specific project types relevant to your company]
- Knowledge of local subcontractor and supplier networks
- Previous experience in a similar company size/culture
- Familiarity with design-build or construction management project delivery methods
