Underground Utility Pipe Layer

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Pipe Crew / Pipe Layer should have at least three years’ experience in the installation of water, sanitary sewer lines, force-mains, storm drainage pipe such as PVC, DIP, RCP and HDPE pipe.
  • Communicate all daily activities to the Underground Foreman / Superintendent
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards on site at all times.
  • Must be dependable and willing to work 40-50 hours per week as needed
  • Advanced knowledge of the site and utility construction industry, such as site layout, site grading, excavation, above ground/underground utilities, and storm water drainage structures.
  • Ability to understand and implement construction documents such as drawings, specifications.
  • Manage most efficient use of equipment and company assets
Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years’ experience laying Pipe
  • 3+ years project responsibility in heavy civil construction, underground utility installation for City, County, Private or DOT construction projects
  • Experience with Storm drain pipe is a MUST but all additional pipe experience is welcome.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operations
  • Able to manage, communicate and enforce production goals and schedules with crews
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA Safety Regulations
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • Legally allowed to work in the US and have a valid Driver’s License
  • Lift Station Experience is preferred
