After-School Respite​/ComHab Support Worker; Child with Autism

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible individual to provide after‑school support for an 11‑year‑old girl with autism. She is non‑verbal and very sweet.

Location:

Riverdale (Bronx), NY.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday, starting around 3:15 PM.

Hours:

Approximately 3 hours per day.

• Be available for on‑time bus pickup (most important requirement).
• Provide after‑school care and supervision.
• Engage in play at home, outdoor activities, or accompany her to local activities.
• Support a calm, safe, and positive environment.

• Position is through Self‑Direction.
• Child is approved for Respite and Com Hab.
• Must be eligible to work through the Self‑Direction program.

• Reliable and punctual (especially for bus pickup).
• Experience with children with autism or special needs preferred.
• Patient, warm, and attentive.
• Comfortable working with a non‑verbal child.
• Able to commit consistently to the schedule.
