Hidden Lake Campis seeking a qualified
Assistant Director to assist in the administration, supervision, and coordination of the summer camp program, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while fostering a supportive and engaging camp environment. This role collaborates with the Camp Director to implement a safe, fun, and enriching program that meets the Girl Scout Mission and camper needs.

Hidden Lake Camp:Our Camps are unique and shaped by the physical, and outdoor spaces in which they take place, the team-building nature of our activities, and the welcoming environment that we strive to create. Nestled on four hundred acres in the southernportionof the Adirondack Park, Hidden Lake Campcomprisesa small private lake, streams, low mountains, woodlands, and beautiful hiking trails. The lake is an ideal setting for swimming,canoeing, andstand-uppaddle-boarding, and kayaking.
Camp facilities include a large playfield, high and low ropes courses, platform tents and lean-to units, a modern dining hall, a health lodge, a shower house, and buildings for activities and programs. Campers range from first through twelfth grade.
Summer Camp dates at Hidden Lake Camp are June 28th – August 1st, 2025. These dates include pre-camp training and post-camp clean-up. All positions include room and board. Camp staff are generally offfrom Friday evening through Sunday afternoon each week.
GSNENY operates two summer overnight camps;
Hidden Lake Camp in Lake George NY and Lake Clear camp near Saranac Lake, NY. Many staff positions can be combined to work at both camps for a full summer of employment (8 weeks total, June 28th – August 22nd.)
- Maintains high camper and staff morale by promoting positivity and teamwork
- Provides daily supervision and guidance to Unit Staff (counselors and unit leaders)
- Works directly with the Properties Team in terms of facility and equipment needs for all camp environments
- Works with the Program Staff to plan and facilitate all camp activities
- Plays a key role in the Emergency Response procedures of the camp
