Position SummaryThe Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment for infants and toddlers. This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood professional who enjoys collaborating with a team and providing consistent, high‑quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities and routines
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
- Assist with daily care routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, and rest
- Engage infants and toddlers in developmentally appropriate play and learning
- Provide positive guidance and support children’s social‑emotional development
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
- Maintain open and respectful communication with the teaching team
- Follow all state licensing regulations, health, and safety procedures
- Assist with classroom organization and material preparation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in an Early Childhood Education setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong understanding of infant and toddler development
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Dependable, patient, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet all state and center background clearance requirements
