Child Care/Nanny
Child Minding / Nanny
Job Overview
Part Time Nanny required for a Brooklyn family with one daughter (age
7), starting ASAP. Specific duties will be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing engaging and loving care, age‑appropriate learning and activities, and child‑related cooking, tidying, and cleaning for their daughter.
The family seeks a warm, dedicated, and energetic nanny who can create clear, fair guidelines with a bright and articulate 7‑year‑old. The daughter is independent and strong‑willed, and the family desires a dynamic, professional nanny to guide and support them long term. Candidates experienced with behaviour‑management and self‑regulation techniques who truly want to make a positive impact are encouraged to apply.
You will provide consistent positive reinforcement, encourage creativity and passions, and communicate clearly and efficiently. This is a fast‑paced, demanding role with high expectations; teamwork with the parents, good judgement, common sense, and resilience are essential. Flexibility to adapt to evolving needs—including earlier days, overnight care as needed, and weekend support—is critical. The role also involves cooking for children and creative kitchen work.
