Duration: 8 weeks (Monday June 8th to Friday July 31)

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Department / Team Summary

The Product Development team drives the strategy, design, and enhancement of retirement products by translating market insights, regulatory requirements, and client needs into actionable solutions. This team leads cross‑functional initiatives from concept through implementation, partnering closely with Technology, Operations, Capital Management, Legal / Compliance, and Marketing to ensure products are scalable and compliant. The team oversees the full product lifecycle, monitoring performance and client feedback to guide ongoing optimization.

Through this work, Product Development ensures the organization remains competitive and continuously drives innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Product Development
    :
    Gain exposure to strategic product development and contribute to priority projects.
  • Leadership Collaboration
    :
    Work with leadership to prioritize and execute specific reporting initiatives.
  • Data Analysis
    :
    Utilize Qlik Sense and Salesforce to create dashboards and reports aimed at enhancing business intelligence, analytics and insights.
  • Cross‑Departmental Workflows
    :
    Collaborate with Operations, Finance and Information Technology teams to assess, analyze and improve workflows.
  • Documentation
    :
    Create and review documentation, including business requirements, report descriptions, flowcharts and input for training communications and presentations.
Required Qualifications
  • Only accepting rising Sophomores (grad year May 2029) and rising Juniors (grad year May 2028).
  • Must have a minimum overall 3.4 GPA.
  • Must be able to commute to NYC 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday)
Role Summary

Mutual of America’s Summer Internship Program provides college students with hands‑on corporate experience working with meaningful projects and assignments. Throughout the 8‑week program, interns will not only have direct guidance from experienced leaders in their assigned departments but can have the opportunity to attend training classes and planned events with other interns.
